The Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is a four-day competition held in Tom Lee Park on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Memphis, TN. Nearly 250 teams travel from around the world and across the U.S. to compete for the title of World Champion and a share of the more than $115,000 in prize money.

The Frisco BBQ Challenge is a fun mountain event for the whole family.   11 bands over 3 days, pig races, kids’ activities, food sampling, cooking demos, and 70+ BBQ teams compete for a variety of awards in pork, ribs, chicken, brisket, anything goes, barbecue sauce, side dish, salsa, dessert, and the coveted Grand and Reserve Grand Champion titles!

The Great Lenexa BBQ Battle started in 1982 with 12 contestants and 12 judges. Since then the contest has grown to its current size of 185 contestants and 240 judges. The two-day event, which includes children's activities and live music, attracts cooks from all over the country, who compete for the coveted title of Grand Champion of the Great Lenexa BBQ Battle - The Kansas State Championship.
